Croeso i wefan Ysgol y Fro
Sefydlwyd Ysgol Y Fro ym 1996 fel ysgol ffederal, er mwyn diogelu’r ddarpariaeth addysg mewn ardal wledig. Mae ffedereiddio ysgolion gwledig yn galluogi trigolion pob pentref i addysgu’u plant o fewn y gymuned leol. Mae’r gymuned yn elwa gan fod y plant yn cymryd rhan mewn gweithgareddau cymunedol fel Gwasanaethau Diolchgarwch,chwaraeon ac Eisteddfodau a Sioeau lleol.
Caiff y plant eu haddysgu mewn dosbarthiadau bychain o ran nifer. Mae’r system hon yn galluogi’r plant i wneud ffrindiau gyda phlant eraill sy’n byw mewn cymunedau cyfagos. Mae hyn o fudd i blant Blwyddyn Chwech yn enwedig wrth iddyn nhw baratoi i barhau gyda’u haddysg mewn ysgolion cyfun lleol, yng nghwmni cylch eang o ffrindiau.
Eisoes derbyniodd Ysgol Y Fro adroddiadau llwyddiannus mewn dair arolwg. Mae llwyddiant y disgyblion presennol a chynddisgyblion fel ei gilydd yn adlewyrchu llwyddiant yr ysgol hon. Mae ysgolion gwledig yn fodd i gadw cymuned wledig yn fyw.
Welcome to Ysgol y Fro’s website
Ysgol y Fro was founded in 1996 as a federated school, in order to safeguard educational provision in a rural area. The school participates in community activities such as Harvest Thanksgiving, local eisteddfods, sporting activities and local shows.
The advantage of being educated in smaller classes remains, whilst the children experience interaction with children of all ages. This enables children to make friends with pupils in neighbouring communities. Children in year six find that the transition to secondary school is more enjoyable as they have a wider circle of friends of the same age.
Ysgol y Fro has undergone three successful HMI inspections. The success of pupils both past and present reflects the success of the school. Maintaining rural schools is a way of preserving the future of our rural community.
Eco education is put into practice at the school. Ysgol y Fro has achieved Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Green Flag status through the Eco Schools scheme.
